Bike Locker FAQs

How long can I rent a bike locker for and what will it cost?

  • $50 for 3 calendar months
  • $100 for 6 calendar months
  • $150 for 9 calendar months
  • $180 for 12 calendar months

Rental includes GST. You'll receive an email just before your rental period ends, asking if you want to renew your locker hire.

How do I rent a bike locker?

  1. Click on the 'Login' link to sign in or 'Sign up' to register as a new user. If you're a new user, once you've entered your details you'll be sent an email with a link to follow to complete your registration.
  2. Under Bike Lockers, select 'Search Location'
  3. Search for a bike locker near you, and click on the location address for more details
  4. Click the 'Hire Locker' button to choose your hire period and locker number (if applicable) and agree to the rental conditions
  5. Follow the prompts to pay with your credit card.
  6. Your bike locker access code will be emailed to you

New hires can only be paid by credit card online.

How do I access my bike locker?

After you register to hire a bike locker you will receive an email from Transport for NSW containing an access code for your bike locker. Simply input your code using the keypad on your bike locker and the door will open.

Never share your bike locker code and always keep your locker locked except when you are present.

How do I report a fault or damage to my locker?

Call 131 500 or email us.

How do I register my interest in new locker locations or get on a wait list?

To request a new bike locker installation, email us with the following information.

  • Transport interchange
  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Contact phone number
  • Contact email address

To join a wait list for booked out locker locations, simply register your interest under the booked out location on this website.

How do you decide where to put bike lockers?

It's an ongoing process. Bike shed and bike locker locations are determined based on customer demand.

What if my bike or property is damaged or stolen when it's stored in a bike locker?

There is no guarantee against theft or vandalism of your bike or property inside a bike locker. TfNSW is not liable and will not reimburse the loss or damage of any property kept inside bike lockers. If you are planning to park expensive bikes and equipment inside a bike locker, we recommend that you add these items to your personal insurance cover.

Please report any theft or vandalism of your bike locker to police before contacting TfNSW, and assist with any investigations or court action.

How do I renew my bike locker hire?

To renew your existing bike locker hire:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to 'My Account'
  3. Select 'Locker Hires'
  4. Click on the 'Renew' button next to the locker hire you wish to renew
  5. Select the length of time you want to renew your hire for, and agree to the rental conditions
  6. Follow the prompts to pay with your credit card.

How do I cancel or terminate my hire?

If you want to cancel your bike locker hire:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to 'My Account'
  3. Select 'Locker Hires'
  4. Click on the 'Terminate' button next to the locker hire you wish to cancel.

Any remaining hire period will be refunded to you minus a two (2) month withholding fee as per the bike locker terms and conditions.
